I got an hour on the simulator as a present from my wife, and all I can say is WOW. You start off with a briefing on what's what on... read more the plane which is excellent and then into the cockpit. I must say the experience of sitting in the cockpit really does make you feel like you are actually flying. The instruction was excellent, he answered all my questions and brought me through everything explaining what was what in the cockpit. I did a number of landings and take off's and then I got to fly over a city at low altitude. You can also fly in or out of a specific airport if you wish. All in all highly recommended and I will definitely be back for a future flight.

I had the chance to have a very kindly Lady , to explain me the exposition. I have felt that, she is very passionnate and has an impressive knowledge. If you wanna see some grat planes and simulator , just go. We need museum like this one to keep this knowledge.
Spent a very interesting couple of hours here on a wet morning. Our tour guide was informative and obviously interested in all things planes. In fact his enthusiasm rubbed off... read more on me. It had quite a good range of planes and other flight related items. A great place to go if you're any way interested in planes and great for a wet day.
Visited on a Saturday morning with our three young boys whilst waiting for our flight home and what a fantastic little place. The people who work their are so passionate... read more about what they do was lovely to see. From the start they were great with the children letting them dress as pilots and our youngest a captain where they could then play in a plane. It is very small but we spent a few hours here and the children didn’t want to leave. We will be back when we return to Shannon.
It wa an over all good experience for me and my student I was with whom has autism but there one lady with glasses who works there was very abrupt... read more and rude to my young student. She wasn’t helpful and basically felt like we were unwelcome by her presence. Her sister showed us around the place and into some of the display planes was a great host and very friendly but her sister left a bad taste in my mouth unfort especially for kids with SEN
Celebrated our son’s 15th birthday here and it exceeded our expectations. Plenty of information generously given by the pilot and hands on flying experience made for a great day. Highly... read more recommended.
I got this for my boyfriend as he loves airplanes. I though it'd be fun for me too but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was!... read more
We got to compete against each-other on the flight simulator. Then my boyfriend did the 737 take-off and landing which was actually amazing; it was the cockpit of a real 737 and he got to use the same controls a real pilot would use. The experience was very realistic.
Then they demonstrated the inflation of a life vest and we got to keep it afterwards!
There's also a museum with some retired airplanes from several different countries, some are former war planes.
Most of all, the people running it were just brilliant. They were so knowledgeable (they're all volunteers - it's a not for profit organisation). One is a pilot, the other a former member of the US Air Force. They really took their time explaining everything and you could feel the love they have for all things aviation.
A really fantastic and enjoyable day out.
